Driven Flywheel & Drive Flywheel

Driven and non-driven flywheels are key components in jaw crushers, balancing rotational motion and energy transfer. The driven flywheel connects to the motor via a pulley or belt, transmitting power to the crusher’s eccentric shaft, initiating the crushing cycle.   The non-driven flywheel, mounted on the opposite end of the shaft, acts as a counterbalance. It stores kinetic energy during operation, smoothing out rotational fluctuations and reducing stress on the motor. Both are typically cast from robust materials like cast iron or steel, ensuring durability under high-speed, heavy-load conditions. Together, they stabilize operation, enhancing efficiency and extending crusher lifespan.
