How to install the door handle 1. Gather the necessary tools: screwdriver, drill, measuring tape, and the new door handle kit. 2. Measure the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the existing hole or the location where you want to install the handle. 3. Use the drill to make a hole in the door according to the specifications provided in the door handle kit. 4. Insert the latch bolt into the hole and secure it with screws. 5. Place the exterior handle on the outside of the door and secure it with screws. 6. Insert the interior handle on the inside of the door and secure it with screws. 7. Test the handle to ensure it is functioning properly. 8. Adjust the strike plate if necessary to ensure the latch bolt engages properly with the door frame. 9. Tighten all screws and ensure the handle is securely attached to the door. 10. Enjoy your newly installed door handle!
