IPL 560nm Longpass for Skin Brightening The 560 nm long pass optical beauty filter for IPL (LP560) generates the IPL output for targeting the epidermis by blocking wavelengths below 560 nm and transmitting yellow-red to near-infrared light. Compared to a 590 nm filter, LP560 produces a more superficial effect, which is conducive to epidermal pigmentation, skin tone brightening, mild erythema, and treatment of early signs of photoaging, while avoiding significant absorption by melanin in the blue/green spectrum. The case study demonstrated that the 560 nm wavelength interacted with chromophores in Asian skin, particularly melanin and hemoglobin (Hb), near 542 nm and 577 nm, aligning with the spectral characteristics of LP560.
