Corrosion Resistant Titanium Anodes

Titanium anodes for electrolytic hydrogen production take high-purity titanium as substrates, with surface coated with Pt-based mixed metal oxide (MMO) coatings. They have excellent electrocatalytic activity and corrosion resistance, enabling stable operation in alkaline or neutral electrolytes, and are core components of water electrolysis hydrogen production systems. The manufacturing process involves sandblasting and pickling of titanium substrates to improve adhesion, repeated coating and high-temperature calcination to form dense uniform MMO coatings, and optimized coating composition for working conditions. These anodes have low overpotential (increasing hydrogen output), high current efficiency, strong corrosion resistance (adapting to alkaline environments) and long lifespan (2–5 years).
